Longspine Waspfish's skin is peeling off!

I suddenly noticed today that my longspine waspfish's skin is peeling off. His eyes are blurry and cannot see. He is not accepting any food that he would normally eat. Every time he moves, more of his skin peels off and floats around in the water. I have him in a little plastic box that is in the tank that he has always been in. What is this disease and how can I cure it if it is curable? Thanks.

Its too late... I had him for almost 3 years. He probably died of old age.

I doubt it was old age. I got mine as an adult over three years ago. It sounds like a bacterial disease, maybe Vibrio. Was it with other fish, and if so, how are they?
