Looking for a business partner for LFS.

Looking for a like minded business partner to get into the industry with. Will be focused on online, retail, maintenance, and possibly moving. Would love to speak with some people interested in this. Already getting together a business plan. Just need another brain to bounce off.

Starting a business is exciting, but it’s also an incredibly challenging undertaking especially in this industry. Are you looking for a partner that has the same skills as you or different skills. How many years have you been into reefing?
Have you worked at a LFS or maintenance company or operated your own business before? What area of town are you thinking about doing retail?

Just a few questions that anyone interested here would probably ask.

Yeah, no problem at all, I've been reefing just shy of 8 years. I've worked in small business situations but never as the owner. I am just looking for a like minded person as far as motivational. As far as other skills I'm not super demanding. I'm mainly looking for warehouse type deal with a little bit of a retail store front. I'm looking to do it in North phoenix, open to area suggestions, but would like to keep it on that side of town. I have worked doing some maintenance, but never at a fish store.

Someone talk this guy down off the ledge!! Good luck to you. Very competitive market with small margins. It's a sad truth that only 2-3 stores have made it over 3 years and are still around. Make sure to do your homework

I've done plenty of research, online sales can make between 40-60% of sales if marketed correct. A majority of the stores in the valley do not sell online

Online competition in this space seems pretty tight too. There are a lot of options for who to order from, most with equivalent pricing, so the choice between them tends to come down to their perk programs (like BRSs points program), or that they are known to provide good service and reliable. Something to consider as the cost to maintain inventory in this industry would be quite high.

Are you looking for an investor or a day to day working partner? ...or something in between?

Something in between. Definitely not looking for someone to go in 100%, but looking for someone to contribute physically and financially.
