I am looking for one or two large biowheel filters for a native tank that I am setting up to house some bass and blugill from my pond over the winter. If you have one lying around that you would like to part with please let me know. My pond is low and the fish will that are left since the cranes got done eating them will definitely be winter killed, so I am going to move a few in the house to give them a chance until spring.

Either PM or reply to the post.

Thanks guys (and gals),

Lisa, I have one of those (tetra I think) canister/barrel pond filters with some inserts for mechanical and bio-media for biological... used to run on the puffer tank... It was located higher than the tank, and a standard pump in the tank pumped water up to it, it's got a sealed screw on lid, (pump to be supplied by new owner... and it may need a drain hose... 1.25" plumbed back to the tank... it's on my stuff to get rid of pile... I swiped the hose for my 75 gallon prop tank... lets see if I can find a link...

You could run it outside for a few days to "season it" and then move everyone inside... and it's made of a rubbermaid type material, so you'l have to try to destroy it... I have some extra media as well. It's super simple to just hose out to clean, and did a bangup job on the 300 when it was running... I may even be able to dig up a pump for a few bucks.... very versitile...

I have the PF1 - Mine is gently used, but put away wet.... I would say 25$ and you replace the hose at a pook company for 5$... or I'll replace it and 30$... or if you wanna trade frags.... or something you think I could use... I'm setting up a prop tank... I could even be persuaded to meet you in appleton, (as long as you have a chaperone - I'm dangerous you know...)

DANG IT! I missed post # 1234!

That might work although it is a bit bigger than I need, but those fish are dirty thats for sure so I guess the more filtration the better. So it looks like I need some kind of powerhead to run this thing. You said that you may be able to dig up a pump for it...well can yah? I could trade you for Anthelia (just kidding) I have at least a acre of it in my tank now thanks to you, lol! I have a flat worm issue right now so instead of coral, I can just pay you money.

I would probably be chaparone-less, but I'm not afraid. I will carry a big stick. Hubby sleeps during the day due to working the night shift.

I do still need regular filters if anyone has some...let me know.
