Looking for a prop tank!

Hey All,

I'm thinking of moving towards getting a prop tank for some grow out. Anyone have any larger breeder tanks 30 - 40 gallons they are looking to sell. Any other prop configurations will be considered. Anyone have any luck with the 55 gallon configurations i've seen on garf? They are the ones with the 3 rack setup.

The large one is sold, it was closer to 60g. We do have some smaller ones that I just have not gotten around to posting online yet FS. A 24" X 24" and a 24" X 30" (both 12" tall IIRC). We were going to put a package together with stand, HOB skimmer, heater, powerhead (maxi-mod) w/ magnet, and 250W MH lighting w/ a built in IC fan. But that sounds like a bit more than Long was looking for :). Until we sell the package, I can't sell either of those tanks, since the person buying the package will get first choice between the two.
 
Thanks everyone for the help. I think i'm going to pick up the setup from sparkss and get going with it. I will be drilling the bottom of the tank though and hear it should be pretty easy. In terms of getting and internal overflow box, do you guys know of a good acrylic place nearby that I can have cut some walls with teeth for me?
 
Long, you can put the Durso right in the tank itself, you don't need to build an overflow into it (but you could). If I wasn't so tied up this weekend I would break out the router and the template I made ages ago for cutting teeth into arcylic and cut you up a couple really quick, but I wouldn't be able to get to it until the middle of next week at the earliest, and even that would be iffy (too many things piled up on my work bench with the vice at hte moment). :)

Since it is a prop tank, you really can just sit the durso int he corner and not worry about putting an overflow in. There are more than a couple of pictures of people that have done that. Garf, our last 2 prop tanks and even our current sump, and I am sure others. It would also end up taking up less real estate inside the tank and give you more room for corals/frags. The main reason for an overflow, IMO, is aesthetics. An overflow wall looks better than a big ole durso pipe sticking out.. but for a prop tank it shouldn't be a big deal.
