Looking for a small tank for classroom

My girlfriend is a teacher, 8th grade honors biology and computer coding. She would love a salt aquarium, going reef with simple but beautiful corals. I have a few pieces, but would love to find a tank, somewhere around 20 gallons. The standard tank is not what I'm looking for, ideally I'd love an 18 gallon viaaqua, but I know they're hard to find. I'm looking for something that will be aesthetically pleasing, and on the cheap. I put together a tank like this, skimmerless, with power compacts, that I feel was incredibly successful years ago, and it was my favorite tank, bar none. I'd love to recreate it. If anyone has a spare tank laying around I'd love to hear about it.

THanks!

Good luck in your search. I just finished setting up my wife classroom tank- a 35 gallon hexagon. Once you get the tank set up, I can donate a pair of clowns if you can pick them up in Jupiter. I have lots of different types.

Hey we have several spare tanks lying around and if one would work out in size and appearance we would be more than happy to donate it. I'll try to grab some pictures the next time I'm at our lab and I'll PM or text you some if you provide your number.

Ok my mom is a 1st grade teacher. I made one for here with a regular 10g tank and sponge filter about $20 for tank and filter

Here's a question she just posed, might put a damper on the idea... what do the teachers do when winter break and spring break come around? Obviously they cant go in every day to take care of it.

cube, that was an idea that I'd thought of... but I think their sale is on standard rectangular tanks... I've got a vision I'm trying to work with, and those don't fit the bill. A cube or column tank is more what I'm looking for, but I'll know it when I see / hear about it.

Max, that's incredibly generous... I was looking for clowns, but hoping they'll be a smaller variety. What kind are they?

As usual the generosity of this club warms my heart when it comes to schools/charities.

I'll need some smaller pieces of live rock with some character, will probably do red sea xenia, some colorful but cheap zoanthids, a few cinnamon polyps, and probably a plating monti, probably one of the fast growing green ones.

I'll be selling my 40g breeder that I'd set up as a cichlid tank, with everything including co2 setup for the plants, to finance everything else. Figure I can get around $200 for everything, so that'll be about my budget for everything else. I already have a light, so that's covered.

U bring the tank home on the breaks. That's what my mon will do. She drains all but 2" of water in buckets then takes it home and set it up again In my room

I know your looking for a non standard tank but I have a standard 20 gallon with a stand. Stain the stand and it'll look brand new.

Free for you since it's to a good cause
Let me know

Figure I'll bump this... lots of people getting out of the hobby after the hurricane, sad. Anyone have any smallish tanks laying around? Looking for interesting shapes and sizes, cubes or taller tanks considered, 20-40 gallons (not a breeder)
