Looking for Acrylic

I am looking for a place or someone who would have thick enough acrylic to use on my sump. I am setting up my 450 gallon tank and now in the process of making the stand. The problem is I have to have the sump/refugium completed, because we have to kind of build the stand around it.
I have 230 gallon tank I am using as the sump/refugium so I would need the acrylic to be thick enough to support the weight that would be involved with a tank that big. Any ideas of where or also what thickness I should use would be greatful.

Thickness of acrylic is usually determined by the height of the tank needed. Your plans for dimensions would help get a good determination. I think it is near half the thickness needed for glass, but I could be wrong. Where's Jack(Boostable) when you need him?!:)

I'm sorry, I meant the height of the tank that will be holding the water, not the display. The display water weight will always be held by the display tank itsself.

no I am still selling you the 220. I bought a 230 acrylic for a sump. thats why is the measurement is only 5 ft long. the 220 is six feet long.

So you're talking about baffles, not for building a tank? If so, it is carrying no pressure(equal pressure on each side so that it will not bend or break). If this is what you mean, than any thickness will work(talk to someone with more experience before you take my word for it).

cool any ideas where to get some nice pieces of acrylic? yeah building the baffles is exactly what I will be doing

FARCO plastics on OBT, there's also House of Plastics on OBT as well.

HD and Lowes carry some, but it's a little more expensive...
