Hi all,

If anyone has an Apex they'd like to sell or trade for an RKE, let me know. I need the dimming functions for my upcoming LEDs. :) My RKE works great (so long as you don't leave it connected to the PC all the time... grounding issues pop up at that point).

Sure, Zef. If you'll get the cabling, I can put the ends on for ya. You can get the cable at Lowes. You need Cat 5e. Or if they have 6 conductor phone line, that would work, too.

Also, thanks to Bill, I was able to find an Apex as well. :)

Doh! My bad, Zef. I was thinking RKE cables. Aquabus uses USB. :) Sorry about that. Can't help ya there I don't think.

If you ask around over in the Neptune forum they will point you in the right direction. You can definitely get a longer cable but I would probably recommend against trying to make one of your own.
 
Good news is that the Neptune cables are just standard, normal USB cables. However, getting super long cables usually doesn't work because almost all of them are active. So, Zef, what you'll need to do is get one of these and two of these and you should be good. Cheap, too. :)

Again, make sure its a completely passive cable. Active cables (cables with repeaters built in) will NOT work.

thanks guys big help. zach i may need your help with my apex. some how i deleted everything on the main unit. and my computer cant find the apex now. i tried wireless and line from the unit to my computer.notthing.

crap sorry for hijacking your thread brandon. im just crazy like that.lol
