Hi, I am thinking about buying a tank from glasscages.com and was wondering if any one has had problems with their tanks. Feedback of any kind positive or negative would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about either a 65 gal 36"x24"x17" or 95 gal 36"x24"x25". if you have any thoughts you can pm me
Thank you,
Fred

I haven't had any experience, but I have looked at their stuff. I hear mixed reviews. Some people in the forums have had awesome experiences and some people think it looks like a 2 year old globed silicone on some glass. Like I said no experiences with them directly but I've considered them before too.

You get what you pay for and customer service is pretty much..well, there isn't any. At least my tank held water (some haven't been as lucky). A top piece came in broke and they made me cut it out and replace it. The silicone hadn't dried yet so the pieces actually came off!

i had a 36x36x20 rimless. after about a year it started to crack near the center-bottom of the front pane. i blamed it on the assembly not being plumb or square.

these were *very* small and i only noticed them because they glinted in the light.

They do good reptile tanks, that only because they don't have to hold water. If you ever go to any reptile show they have great display but as far as fish tanks I would stay away.

Do you remember name of guy in Va beach? I think he may have been in with reefchief..?? BTW, Hi , To you, and Ade :)

I researched RC when considering my builder - I decided there were too many negative feedbacks on glasscages to risk it.

I ended up ordering from AGE (acrylic and glass exhibits) - my experience has been great so far. You have to go through a vendor as they do not sell direct to the public (I went with Kingfish). Their reviews are top notch on RC.

I'm getting a 72"x30"x30" starphire peninsular style tank with one piece eurobracing on top. PVC bottom, external overflow, and an external wavebox (sweet!!!!). Tank is supposed to be ready early December. I will post further feedback when it arrives. Customer service between AGE and Kingfish has been great thus far. Delivery will likely be around $400 from Texas - including a truck with a liftgate.
