looking for Lighting spectrum advice

I'm setting up the lighting in a 90 gallon tank with soft coral, but I wold like to start adding SPS coral as well. How big of a deal is the light spectrum versus intensity? Thanks in advance.

Vacuum. Ever turned a glass full of water upside down in a bathtub? Same principle only bigger, and a little scarier at first.
