Looking for lights... Again

Well, when I bought my MH, I didn't figure in the heat increase to my bedroom. So I need a Tek-T5 light or the tank goes to the basement. If you have a 24" Tek light for sale, I might be interested in buying it.

Yes, the MH will go if I can get a Tek T5, but if I don't I will just move the tank to the basement and hang the MH.

try a finnex fixture from www.premiumaquatics.com

they are awsome and fairly cheap... cheaper than a tek

The Finnex looks like it has a single reflector. I might be mistaken, but I think the individual reflectors are better.

you dont need individual reflectors on a 30 gallon tank... unless it is completely sps.

i would do a 4 bulb finnex

What is the difference between completely sps and mixed? One sps will need the same amount of light in a mixed reef and a sps tank. I will ask about it though.

Don't you have until next spring to find it? The heat won't be an issue over the winter (I would guess) so just bide your time and watch the selling forums.

Honestly, I don't know if it would be a problem. The only thing that I can think of is that since my house is brand new (and super insulated), the heat wouln't escape like it would on older houses. And being on the top floor, I think I would boil in my room.
