Looking for live rock

There's a bunch on craigslist around Elmira and up near Interlaken. Check the Ithaca craigslist under "for sale" and community (where the pet stuff is listed).

Ask questions and get pictures before you drive out. Some people don't realize that it's not live rock anymore if it smells like death.

There's a guy in Interlaken (listed on Ithaca craigslist) that has some "almost live" rock and a ton of other fish stuff in storage. There's even an ancient MP60 in one of his boxes. It seems like it's locked up, but I know nothing about them. His name is Joe, here's a link to one of his ads with a picture of the rock when it was live.

I bought about 30 lbs. I'm cooking it off right now.

If you want rock from a LFS, I haven't seen anything worth paying asking price for in this area. A Reef Creation in Buffalo was the only place with a decent selection at a fair price I've seen lately.
