looking for sand

Michael I don't know if this will help or if you would even want to consider this but here is something I stumbled across the other day, a southdown alternative.

I don't need all that much, so if I need to I will fork up the $ for caribsea.

used 1/2 live sand from flordia that i picked up at the airport to save a ton of handling fees, and 1/4 south down when i lived in NJ, and now a 1/4++ more of every day white depot sand some quartz, but some calicum carbonate...................to test the sand if is a calicum/bicorbant base put a little in a jar of White Distilled Vinger, and it will bubble like when u put bakingsoda in vinger togeather.......if not the vinger will do nothing.......


any way an idea here, not to say if right or wrong just a piece of information......
