Looking for seahorse advice

OK, so I decided I really want a sea horse and I'm wondering where I should start. Right now I have a 180 established reef tank but I know I can't put any ponies in there sooo, The only other tank I have at the moment is a 24 aqua pod that I was using for frags. It's sitting with nothing in it but algae and a few aptasia anemones. I have so major cleaning to do in there but don't want to disrupt the bio load since it's already cycled. I was thinking of plumbing down to the basement to keep it cool, (the 180 needs to go there anyway). Now for the question. Is the 24 going to be big enough if I can keep it cool and am I missing anything? How many ponies would you keep in this type of tank and for how long?

You do not need a large tank for dwarf seahorses. They are fairly reasonable as well. Regular seahorses you tend to have to direct feed them, with dwarves you must feed live baby brine shrimp. However you feed them in a snow fashion. Reg-large breeds of seahorses, you must go through all kinds of ways to raise fry, since they do not hitch upon birth. Dwarves hitch upon birth and breed regularly. I always have them in all age ranges in my tank. There is WAY more info that what I have here that you would need to know to set up a tank, but I find them fascinating. Dwarf pipefish are cool as well and can be housed with dwarf seahorses. Best place I like to order them from is Dana of www.ccritters.com.

Oh yea, they do not need too high of lighting. Actually they prefer not to be in high intensity. I recommend converting your lighting to LED, but it highly limits corals, but keeps cool.
