looking into making a co2 scrubber for the intake of my skimmer to raise ph. I know that "sofnolime" is not cheap and seems to be sold in bulk. Is anyone willing to part out some if they have extra sofnolime or soda lime?

Was really wanting to buy a smaller amount but I decided to jump in head first and bought a 37lb bucket for $72 shipped...i'm planning on sharing my experience with this product once I get it...according to an OP he feels that amount will last for several years and my tank size is comparable...but not sure what skimmer he is running? That would be one of the determining factors for exhaustion of this product.

got things set up and running last night so i'll post some pics....nothing fancy...just to the point in construction and function...my average ph without the scrubber is 7.8-8.0...when i'm able to open the windows i have seen ph up to 8.15

the product that i bought

container used to hold the media...I drilled holes in the bottom to allow air flow into the scrubber...drilled a hole in the lid and attached an air line to meet up with the skimmer

opened the door to get some air in the house to see if there was an increase in ph

after about an hour of having the window open the ph was up to 8.05 without the scrubber...then i added the scrubber as shown in the pic...the container is placed on a filter pad to raise it so air can enter from the bottom

did you notice any positive signs in your corals.Close observation in the next day or so should indicate a improvement in PE or color if you are doing the right thing. Please post your findings in the up coming days.TY
