I run a standard 120 gallon fowlr (inverts too). Inverts have been the family's favorite and we would like to add more. Here is my current and future stocking list.

Fish:

High fin red banded goby (we rarely see him)
Pair black and white clowns
Red firefish
Midas blenny
Starry blenny

Future fish (some combo of these but not all) :

Pair of dwarf angles
Trio of flasher wrasses
Haram of anthias
Butterfly fish
Small tang
Another shrimp goby
Cardinal fish pair

Current inverts :

Snails, turbo and some other kind (probably 12 or so total)
4 bumblebee snails
3 fighting conchs
Blue tuxedo urchin
Chocolate chip star
12 or so blue and red leg hermits
Fire shrimp (rarely see him)
Pistol shrimp (have not seen or heard since day one

Please recommend some inverts!

If they die you want to get them out of the tank. Seems to be differing opinions on them being toxic shortly after death. I believe certain species are more toxic than others.

Tiger tails and the yellow ones commonly available ( sorry don't know the name) are quite common and pose zero risk as a predator and nothing that I know of sees them as food.

Thanks! I will definitely look for a cucumber.

Can I get another starfish to go with the chocolate chip? Serpent stars?

Serpent stars have been known to ambush fish as they sleep, I like large brittle stars instead. It is fun seeing them scooting out of their hiding spots during feeding but they are not normally moving around during the day. they normally have legs hanging out everywhere though. You could add 3-4 without a thought as long as you have some meaty food left over when feeding they are good scavengers.

Scarlet hermits get much bigger than the red/blue legs and I am yet to banish any to the sump for misbehavior (my oldest are almost 3 years in my tank too). They do a good job picking at algae on the rocks. I am yet to see them kill snails.

These are my two favorite inverts I have and they do earn their keep with cleaning.

For some reason I thought it was the brittle stars that hunted fish and serpents were safe?
