Looking for some local chaeto.

You can have some from my tank -only warning is that I do have hair algae at the moment so you might want to look for "cleaner" cheato.if you aren't worried about it, then its free. I live off of bell school near jmk.

Great! I ordered a light and expect it late this week or early next week. The light is a 24 watt CFL, 7.1k, this should work I hope. How much do I need to start? Do you just let it float in your sump?
Let me know when is a good time and I'd like to pickup. I'm available mornings after
8:ooam until about 1:00pm, then after 3:00pm and weekends.
Thanks again.

I will give you as much as you want. You only need a little as the idea is that. It will grow and take up nutrients. I find that starting out with a good size chunk helps though. It's almost as if there is a critical mass per se. Yes mine is in my sump.

I will be out of town until Friday. Send me a pm if you would like to pick it up sometime this weekend.

Syno - how is your tank doing? Should be maturing nicely if you managed to avoid any set backs

What's up Kawi, long time. Tank is great and still all self contained(sumpless). I've actually got 2 tanks now. Built a 125g RR in 2008 after I sold all my FW tanks.

Remember the 1 head of candy cane you gave me. Just before Thanksgiving 2011, I finally pulled everything to get the 5+ year old damsels out. That head turned out to be 300+ about the size of half a basketball. Around 10lbs. Needless to say, I payed it forward when I trimmed it down.

Appreciate the frags in the beginning, peeps like you make reefing what it is. Let me know if your looking for anything in particular. Lotta run of the mill paly's / LPS, but I do have some Purple Deaths, killer multi color branching frogspawn, and some killer blue/yellow yumas.

Good to see your still around.

Chucknsheila, if you get a bulb at Lowes/Menards/HD, I should be around most the day.

Great to hear - I have that same frogspawn still sticking around. I had some issues since then so its not as crazy big as yours, but I bought a house in town and now have a 180. Finally glad to get something settled. Tank moves are hard on corals. I don't recall at what stage I gave you corals, but this tank has been up for about 8 months now. I have moved towards more SPS, but I might hit you up for a few paly's.

Sometimes I wonder if sumpless is the way to go. I set up a basement sump at my new house and always seem to have an issue. It doesn't help that I travel all the time for work and have to prepare the tank for being gone a week at a time.

I imagine. Sometimes I have problems with coral tank to tank, and its only 12 feet and a few minutes.....

You hooked me up in 2007 I believe...

Well I got standard Pink/purple polyp birdnest and regular orange digi monti, if you don't have either for SPS(I haven't bought coral in a long time ).

Otherwise just keep keepin on bro. Tank will settle... as long as you do =).....

CHUCK.... very nice meeting you. I do have some shrooms if you are interested... I'll sell you them all for $5.... Probably 25-30.

If I am not overstepping here, I am possibly interested in some of the shrooms. I live in Rockford, Rockton-Riverside area...
