well just wanting to see how the tank and all is running. you know who you are, came to my house at 3am, ok well shoot me a line back

What did the skimmer look like on this tank? Its sad, but I have been to too many peeps house at 3AM for reef geekdom. :(

Ahhh... that would be moi! And the skimmer, aka The Big Daddy has impressed many of reefers who have stopped by. Paul and I had a hell of a trip that weekend... something I am not about to do again anytime soon, but was a blast!

The 180 is still being setup, a bit change in plans than we had originally thought, but progress is being made. As far as the chromis and the rest of the fish, Paul has them and they are looking beautiful as ever.

So are you officially a father now? :)

yup sure am, had the boy last friday, he came late and was a biggun at 10lbs

nice to know that everything went well with the move, yeah that skimmer needs a very big dirty tank to run on, that way in can actually work not just hang out 99% of the time. :D

Holy cow - that's on large skimmer! Ed sure seems impressed by your ... err.... skimmer....

That was me who did all the work!!!! Mike was the one who was SLEEPING behind the wheel :D!!!! Love the set up BTW and ty.. Your chromis, Vlamingi, Sail fin, CBBF, and others aare at home in my tank and very happy!!!!

Congrats on the baby boy!!!!

After leaving Oregon practically at 7AM and not sleeping the night before while we tore the system down, you can imagine the trip home through winding mountains and a trailer full of breakable items in tow. ;)

I am telling you, I was blinded by the 8AM sun, and that curb came out of nowhere! Damn you should have seen Paul though after 15 gallons of saltwater ended up all over him in the passenger seat... poor bastard. :D

lol, now that is some funny shiat. so did you guys even get any sleep the next day. oh so i am building a new skimmer for my friend, gonna make that black one look tiny, gonna give the new dart nw a try out on it.

Too bad I didn't know you guys were going up there......Im from Arcata........the funny thing is.....I know someone there looking for a 180g:eek:

Mike has a history of saving poor souls in the roads and SWERVING out of the way to save the poor cardboard pieces and curbs and sand spots that might have perished otherwise... While you are all busy laughing at the 15 gallons I took on my lap.... I also peed on Mike's seat to get him back. All the liquid just blended!!!! Revenge is a dish best served cold. :D

ROFL, man i am crying while reading that.

well good news is i am building a bigger and better skimmer for my friend, gonna be 14 or 16" dia and be around 5' tall overall with a Sequence orca nw pump

oh and dots, tell your buddy he should have looked at all the adds i had posted up here, i didnt get a one call from anyone local. i do know someone up here that might be selling there 210, drilled aga with closed loop sometime soon.

It was for someone who is trying to get back into freshwater and I talked into getting a reef ready tank......casual interest for them and wouldn't have seen it. Too bad......perhaps on the other, let me know.

Where are you guys located at? Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna?

Jim,

Are you still doing acrylic fabrication? If so, we need to talk. I am needing some pretty large stuff (tanks, reactors, skimmer, UVs, plumbing, specimen holding system, etc.) for a big project I am working on and really did not want to go into the commercial side of it if I could avoid the cost. Unfortunately I am inept at these things and you already have the equipment/experience/'shop' so have your people contact my people... we will do lunch. :)

Yeah, you guys need to post in the R.A.R.E. forum when you come up north, we could have done some swapping on the way through.
