Well, I got him about a week ago, and he seems to have some wierd symptoms, and now has some odd stuff on him. Since I got him, he has been very skittish, and never went far from the rocks. He also stopped eating much. All he does is swim and hide if he sees you. Now, I found some odd looknig diesease on him. It looks as if he has swam through cobwebs- there is like this stringy looking stuff all over him. I do not think it is cotton or velvet, because it is stringy-looking, and is not in patches. Any information as to what it is or what I should buy to treat it would be great. THANKS

If you see this stuff in the AM after the lights come on, as I do with mine quite regularly, I believe it is part of the cocoon that they make at night to sleep in.

Well, I saw it at night about 5 min before the actinics turned off. Do you think he could be building this cocoon?? LMK, THANKS

MMM

My six line used to build cocoon nest but I haven't seen him do that in a couple of yrs. Back when he was "cocooning" I only saw the film/mucus in the morning.

How is the fish breathing? Hows the appetite?

He is breathing fine, not heavily or anything. In my opinion, I think he does not have much of an appetite. He still eats a few pieces that come his way, but he doesn't eat like my clownfish does :D
