Ok... i have a pink algea like flower on my live rock.... at this point in time it is starting to turn brown in some spots, but still extending out to the light, and turning red under one... like a really bad zit growing out of your face..... I don't know what it is called.

I call it a pink blanket algea.... someone else had called it a goniapora type plant, by the discription that I gave her, can anyone help me. what is it that I am doing wrong?

well I found out that it is called a pink creeping xenia..... and it does not look that good right now

this is what it is suppose to look like... sorry i don't have pics of my own... camera kinda got wet and well you know ... doesn't work anymore.... have to get a new one...

So you have some type of hitchiking coral growing on your live rock. Maybe Xenia.

Why is this a problem??

Get a picture if you can. Best to take the pictures outside of the aquarium!

Thanks for getting back to me... I did find out that it is Pink Creaping Xenia, but something is wrong with it... don't know what. I am working on some pics, but my camera had taken a fall in the lake and have to get a new one... will have some soon.
