I recently broke down my 120 and I'm selling all the rock from it, as well as a large amount of dry "live" rock that I've had in storage for awhile.
The rock that just came out of my tank has been kept in circulating water for the last few days since the tank tear down. It is fully cycled, my tank had been set up for over three years. Some of the pieces are huge, measuring well over a foot, several up to 18 inches. The two largest rocks weigh over 16 lbs each. In the pic below, the measuring tape is pulled out to 12 inches to show scale. The rocks are so porous that my tangs would swim through the holes. Each cycled rock has at least one side with 90-100% coralline coverage.
For the dry rock, I've got it sorted into three sizes: <6", 6-12", and >12". I have 33 lbs of both the <6" and >12". I have 21 lbs of the 6-12".
Most of the rocks are the premium Fiji variety. There is a small amount of base rock in all categories. All of the large rocks are Fiji. There are also a few old pocillopora heads, all ocean grown and very thick-branched.
Prices:
Wet/cycled rock:
Anything over 12" in any direction is $7/lb.
Anything under 12" is $6/lb.
Dry rock:
<6" is $1.50/lb.
6-12" is $2.50/lb.
>12" is $3.50/lb.
Prices are negotiable for larger purchases. Need to sell quick. Local pickup only. I live near Hefner & Council in NW OKC.
