Tank Razed
New member
Well, we moved this last summer and it occured to me that I really have a lot of nice aquarium equipment that I am not using. So I thought I would get rid of some of the things that I am not currently using. I wanted to give locals first crack at this stuff before I post in the general buy/sell forums.
I have:
- Oceansmotions (OM) squirt. It has one, 3/4" input and four, 3/4" outputs. This thing is great for variable water movement and if it doesn't sell soon I will probably plumb it back onto my tank, but I'd rather buy a school of blue-eyed cardinals right now (plus after the move I'm pretty sick of plumbing). This was used about 6 months. I'd like to get $90 for it. For those who are not familiar with it, here is what it is.

I also have a couple of tanks for sale:
- 30 gallon tank drilled (36 x 12 x 16). It is drilled for two, 1" bulkheads on one end. I'd like $30 for the tank w/o the bulkheads, or $35 for it with the bulkheads.
- 15 gallon tank drilled (24 x 12 x 12), It is drilled the same as the 30 gallon. I'd like $20 for the tank w/o the bulkheads or $25 with the bulkheads.
*note I only have one set of bulkheads, so whoever wants them first gets them, but I can only sell one tank w/ bulkheads.
- 20 gallon long tank, undrilled. (30" x 12" x 12"). I'd like to get $25 for this tank.
I also have a couple of skimmers for sale:
- Aquamedic turbo floater 1000 with the ocean runner pump. Here is an example:

Of course mine looks more used than that one, but it functions fine. I'd like to get $100 for that skimmer and the pump.
- HOB Excalibur skimmer. They are mostly found on the east coast. Its a great skimmer for smaller tanks. Its rated to 110 gallons, but I think that is pretty generous. But a good choice for tanks 60 gallons and smaller.
Here is an example of what one looks like:

Mine is a little different than the one pictured. The pipes on mine are white (not black) and I don't have the baffle box that is shown. I'd like to get $70 for mine with the pump included.
I also have a 50 gpd Kent Marine R.O unit. The membrane is about 3 months old. It is just the R.O stage. I have a couple of 10" filter cartridge housings that I can throw in with it. I'd like to $50 for the R.O unit.
Thats all I have now, I may come across some more stuff. I have posted pictures of the 30 gallon tank in my gallery, and I can add pics of anything else anyone is interested in.
I'm located in Iowa City. I'm willing to ship any of this, except the tanks, if the buyer pays actual shipping costs.
Thanks for looking
