Loud Skimmer... Can I quiet?

I'm having trouble picturing what you mean... do you have any pictures or a diagram?

I think my collection cup also has a hole in the top

I'm not talking about a drain hole on the bottom edge of the collection cup for a tube that goes to an auxilery collection device. (I have one of those also)
I'm talking about a connection for a tube near the top of the collection cup. If you have one just connect a small piece of clear tubing to that and then connect the other end to your air intake and you'll be set.
It will turn totally silent.

yeah i understood where the hole is supposed to be...

oh i think i understand... so it will basically connect the hole on the top of my skimmer collection cup to the air intake hole on the skimmer body.... forming like a "U" right?

If you already have that connection point in the top of your collection cup it'll only cost you 50 cents to try. Try it, you'll like it.

There's actually 3 holes in the top of the skimmer cup...

I ran tubing from the 2 air intakes into 2 of them... worked like a charm...

cept now I can hear the pump vibrating... haha
