low magnesium and calcium dosing?

my magnesium and calcium are low ..mag 1100 cal 360 do I dose magnesium first and get the levels up over a couple days and then dose calcium ? Or can i dose both at the same time

What's your alkalinity? If you try to bring up Calc with low magnesium and relatively high alkalinity, you'll probably get precipitation, reducing your alk and not really bringing up your calc. I'd dose MG first. Others may have better advice about how slowly you need to bring up your magnesium. I'm no expert. I'm not aware of any specific problems with doing it quickly but I may just be ignorant.......When dosing Calc and MG, I'm not too concerned about speed unlike Alk where I'm much more cautious and closely watch ph.

Dose the magnesium first, but you can follow up within a few minutes with the calcium, but only 1/3 the ppm of the magnesium you add. I like to limit the magnesium additions to 100 ppm per day, so it will take you a few days to get it up to 1350.
