Low ph

Can low ph in a fowlr cause cloudy water. Also yesterday my daughter decided to feed the fish and dumped half a bottle in there. I cleaned everything up. Did a water change and also added prime to the tank. Last night it was back to clear and this morning it is back to cloudy again. Any ideas?

sounds more like a bacteria bloom from the extra food than a ph issue, though there is a relationship between the two.
I wouldn't worry too much as long as ammonia isn't present, and there's enough water movement that oxygen doesn't get depleted. If extra water changes don't clear it up you can also diy a pillow stuffing filter.
If the fish look like they are panting, or flicking against the rocks, or staying right at the surface, then I'd worry more.

Ok so how much more water should I change out and what is a pillow stuffing filter. I have never heard of that

idk, you dont say how much water you already changed
the filter is just that, you buy the stuffing at walmart and push water through it. You can find instructions if you google it or on youtube

I watched a video after I posted it. I have a 20gal fowlr. About 25 pounds of rock. In tank refug with chaeto and I also have 3 power heads running in the tank. I also have a hob marineland penguin 350. I changed about 10gal yesterday

Went and bought a canister filter and the poly fil. Just got done hooking everything up. Thanks for the help.
