Low salinity and Sps ?

What is considered low and what will it do? I have had some Coral receding at the base and tips at times. I was doing a w/c and I always mix to 1.025. When I checked the dt it was at 1.022 & it might have been 1.021. I can't believe I over looked something so simple. I'm not sure how long it might have been like this.

I would do daily wc and bump up the salitity up to 0.026 and do it over a week span to get to about 0.024 or 25. I believe that if it was gradually increased and raised to 0.021 or 22, you should see less PE but not RTN or STN. Just my opinion but did you have a huge swing or you may want to look at other factors. I have personally kept SPS at 0.022 with little PE and no growth but still alive. I have also burnt tips when getting up to 0.029. I would check for AEFW. This is just my 2 cents.

The only thing I can think of is every time I emptied my collection cup I never really acounted for it. I have never had this happen before . I dipped a couple of weeks ago with Bayer and found no pests. I just went through a frag get some colonies because of them stn/rtu from the base up. I hope this is why they are doing that so at least I have a solution.Usually I'm at 1.025 .
