LPS Coral????

What is a LPS coral and are they hard to keep?

What are some of your favorite kinds?

Also what you think is the easiest for the Novice to keep?

LPS= Large Polyp Stonies.

They are fairly easy to keep. Not nearly as demanding as SPS.

For a beginner I would reccomend some Frogspawn or Torch. Brains are pretty hardy too. I'd just stay away from Elegance corals.

Brains are my favorite by the way!

Frogspawn, hammers, candycanes are beginner level lps. The needs in regards to lighting and feeding vary greatly. None of these require feedings, although candycanes grow faster with target feeding.
