LPS growing slowly

Hello,

I have some frogspawn, anchor, and grape LPS that I have had close to one year; however, they seem to have not grown at all. I want them to grow faster. What can I do?

If I want to get them to grow faster should I feed them? If so, what?

Is it possible I am missing a trace element they need to grow?

I have a 120 system with a 4" sand bed, I do one 5 gallon water change weekly with IO, and dose Randy's 2 part with mag to keep the Alk and Ca up. Ca runs about 400 ppm and Alk is 3.5 meq/L. Mag is 1250 ppm.

I have 6 48" VHOs on this tank.

What can I do to get them to grow?

Thanks,
Chris

I'm surprised that you haven't had growth. Are they getting good light? Not shaded. I feed mine every now and then. I use frozen cyclopleeze (sp.?). I cut off the bottom of a 2-liter and use that to target feed with a turkey baster. I also have VHO and mine have grown within months.

I would think they are getting great light. They are in the upper half of my tank and are not shaded.

I might try to feed them some cyclopleeze. I got them as frags and really woud like to see some growth. They just don't seem to have grown at all.

Cheers,
Chris
