LPS lighting 12 gallon tank

So I just set up my 12 gallon nano tank with 2 24 watt CF bulbs. I have had LPS before with chalices, acans and others, but has anyone had any luck with LPS in a 12 gallon with this lighting? Let me know what you think. I was also thinking of having lobos and brain corals. ANy advice would really help.
Thanks

Thats what I thought, since its only like 12 inches deep., and some corals will be right at the top. I wanted to see if someone had personal experience, but any advice is helpful.
Thank you.

It would depend on the wavelength of the CF. If they're both Actinics, you'll have a problem. Otherwise you should be good to go. The Biocube 14 has the same type of lighting, but it's deeper.

1 is 10k daylight, the other is 50/50. Can I keep lobos and brains? I think the low light might acually make some acans/chalices more colorful. Do you agree?
Thanks for the response.

That might be a little too low on the Par, but you could give it a shot. You should be replacing them roughly every 6 months, so you could try out different combinations. You could also try out different placement for the Acan, but I've found the bottom to have the best growth. Stability is key.

ASAIK, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, 6500K should put out the maximum amount of PAR for growth. So people usually have 1 6500K bulb and 1 10000k for looks. Or have 2 50/50 bulbs. When you said 10k daylight, I'm not actually sure what that is, can you link me to the bulb?

Edit: I see what you're looking at now. I seem to not know what I'm talking about. The 10k is the regular daylight for the BioCubes. You should be good on the PAR actually, maybe even too much. You might get it a little too yellow.

I thought actinic is more of the 15-20K. In my t-5 fixture I have 10K for day lights, and 14K for actinics. unless t-5 is different than cf.

So, nothing wrong with your option, and you could go a lot of different ways. You could do 10-12 hour 50/50 and 8 hour daylight, or both for around 10 hours. If you don't like the colors, you could switch it up in 5-6 months. But everybody's preference is different, and every tank needs different things. Hopefully I've somehow helped.
