Lps suggestion

I want to put a nice LPS piece in the center of my tank where the sps is now. It is gone and I need to replace it with a lps who likes decent light and decent flow.... Thoughts. No hammers I already have enough.

Thinking about a torch.

What about duncans or trumpets? A decent-size colony of either can be a great showpiece.

Maybe a branching coral for diversity? Branching monti or a stylo if you want to dabble in SPS. Nice looking tank.

I've tried several sps just no luck... Guess my water is too dirty, my LPS love it though...

A nice large Duncan woul look good. Gold torch though....

I know you said sps doesn't do well in your tank but have you tried stylophora as someone mentioned above? Super hardy and it grows crazy fast. Can't kill it. Comes in green, purple, blue, and a "rainbow" variety. It's my favorite sps.

Aside from that torches are great or maybe a frogspawn which should be able to touch the hammer no issue. Maybe grape coral, euphyllia cristata. I want to get one myself.

Good ideas thanks. I really want a sps piece there just to break it up. Everything I've tried starts loosing color. Maybe I'll try a stylo?

Stylos are about the most fool proof sps. I recently had a tank crash with about 15-20 acropora and montipora die on me in a one week span. Some large old colonies. The stylo looks better than ever.

Lots of possible suggestions, but I like the Duncan suggestion. Fairly non-aggressive and easily pruned when it gets too big.

Whatever you choose, do *NOT* put a torch in the dead center of your tank. I did that early on and regretted it once it started growing. Torches can send out really long sweepers, and in the middle of a tank can nail just about anything it wants in your tank.
