Lta and percula clowns??

Probably a repost, and a dumb question but do tank raised percs take to a Long tentacle anemone? any info is greatly appreciated

Depends... they might not even get close to it sometimes. Most tank raised clowns have probably never seen an anemone in their life.

Percula and ocellaris clowns generally don't like LTAs. It has nothing to do with whether or not they are tank raised.

The natural anemone of O. Clowns is the carpet. BTA's are a good replacement too. However, the LTA's are not their favorites. They might go in it if there's nothing else. In fact, I have clowns that go into hairy mushrooms thinking that they are carpets...who knows...that's why they're clowns.

This doesn't really matter as its instict rather than tuition that drives a clown to an anemone. I find that the species and size of the anemone plays are larger part than tank raised / wild caught / captive bred
