If you're having problems locating Lugol's, you can try using tincture of iodine in its place (usually much easier to find at your drug store). Chemical composition is slightly different but the main ingredient, iodine, is more or less the same. Other people have reported success with using it. As always, use cautiously and initially, use smaller doses to make sure that it doesn't have any untoward effects towards your organisms. What are you using it for, iodine supplementation or as a dip?
