Lunar Lights!

I am thinking about getting some lunar lights for my 30 gal. tank!
would it be worth it! I haven't been able to put any coral in it yet, so right now all I have is my sand, live rock, some hermit crabs, some snails, a few purple polyps, a feather duster, and a sponge that was stuck to the underside of one of the rocks!

thanks for any help given, since I don't know much about this stuff yet!

The lunar lights my fixture burned out so I'm getting another one. Makes a good night light.

Not expecting it to introduce any spawning behavior. On the coral's part that is.

The lunar lights are designed to mimic the light of the moon so that mature corals will spawn. Without mature corals it wont help the tank inhabitants. It does make a cool looking tank at night though if you want just the look

I purchased the Lebos Lunar Tracker for a 125, uploaded new pic in gallery, sorry kind of dark. I do like them gives a natural effect.

The coralife 3/4 watt unit I just set up seems pretty bright in a dark room, I put it near my float switch and can see my digital temp readout beside the tank. But yeah in a photo it would look really dark.

I had bought a lunar aqualight unit but the lunar lights have gone out. I think its because I ditched the glass top when my wife made me an eggcrate top.

I also had a PC bulb burn out in just about 3 mo grrr. Just replaced it (Actinic) with a mixed blue/actinic which I like the look of.
