Thinking about getting one of these and was wondering what anyones experiences may have been. Are they really aggressive? what sort of things will they chomp on or bully?

Thanks,

Tony.

I love mine, he is really curious and friendly, they will eat ANY and ALL shrimps, and attempt to eat other inverts. If he is hungry and I am working in the tank either he nips. Other than that he gets along with my flame, false percs, and my bangaii cardinals. I think he ate all but one of my bangaii babies. He dosent pick on my corals either. He does eat nori though, kinda wierd.

Very interesting fish. Had one for a long time and loved it. Almost like having a dog in your tank, lot's of presonality. Sessile invertabrates like snails, hermits, and dhrimp will be a uick snack for these guys so they are questionable in a reef, but they are great community fish so long as the tank mates are fairly large. They are very predatory with smaller fish.

FYI, they also get quite big (15" +)

My two cents.

Thanks for the info folks... I have a shrimp that survived being in there with a hungry snowflake eel for a long time, so I may not want to do that to the shrimp...
