Lymphocyctis Question

Does anyone have any pictures of lymphocyctis?

I know what ich looks like & the fish don't have ich. Doesn't look to be velvet either from the pictures I can find. It started with a spot on a fin of a firefish on Friday & he has scratched on the rocks a few times. The other firefish & the goby now have spots on their fins, no one else is acting itchy & no one is breathing heavy. There are no lesions on any of the fish and I can't find any of these spots on their bodies. Everyone is eating well.

From what I can find good nutrition & pristine water is the key. I have been feeding frozen twice a day or frozen once & clam frenzy once a day. Today I fed frozen brine & dried cyclopeeze soaked in fish oil. I have selcon too. Any other feeding suggestions are appreciated.

I did a 9g water change on Tuesday last week. If I do another 9g w/c this week is that sufficient or should I break it down to 5g every few days until I've changed about 20 or 30g out?

Is this something that can be brought in on a CUC or stress induced. Monday last week I come in to find the skimmer overflowed & the ATO shut off, at least I didn't flood the office. Tuesday a peppermint was added & he was mia by Thursday am. Thursday I added a small CUC of snails & they through in some tiny hermits.

Last fish added were the firefish on March 12th & the randall was put in before them in December. No other fish have been in this tank & this is the first I've seen any of this behavior.

I know the fish can have this & ich too. I'm looking for some more information before I pull fish & decide to treat for ich. I keep a log of what goes in & goes on in the tank if anyone has any additional questions.

I did a google search & found a picture, it appears to be lymphocystis as the itchy fish has a single spot like the tang does in this thread. He looks like that tomorrow & I'm going to cry.

I have a sponge in the sump in case it's ich & I have to do hypo. Water changes here we come.

Anyone else on here have experience with this? If I don't get through this I'm sticking to coral & inverts.

Lympho isn't very contagious, if at all. Fish with lympho seldom scratch from it. A pic would really help, I'm not convinced this isn't ich.

I'm not entirely convinced it's not ich either, that thought is still lingering which is why I've stuck a sponge in the sump. Every time I try to get a picture they swim to the other side of the tank. I'll try & get a picture.

I admit I have not found enough information on lympho for my liking. I've ordered Fish Disease: Diagnosis & Treatment by Dr. Noga but I won't have it until Thursday.

I'm sure hypo is going to be the easiest way to go for the fish & myself. How quick will the sponge seed the hospital tank? I have an empty 10g & an extra ph so setting up one is not going to be an issue. I just need to pick up some pvc for everyone to hide in.

So this morning all the spots are off the fish & everyone ate breakfast. The itchy firefish hasn't scratched at all this morning.

Right now the firefish are hanging at the bottom of the tank & the goby is back in the burrow with the pistol.

I'm a little concerned as the firefish are usually swimming in the middle of the water column. No one is breathing heavy.

Can someone chime in what I may be dealing with. I'm not 100% sure of lympho & ich is a possibility. I'm trying not to overeact but I want to treat everyone correctly once I can get them into a hospital tank. Any help or comments are appreciated. My best interests lie in keeping the fish healthy.
