Lymphocystis

My angel got a small Lymphocyst on it's fin. Do I wait it out and let it fall off, or have you guys tried plucking it off? I know there aren't many medications out there, but it's been on it's fin for about a month and it still hasn't fallen off. It's been in QT for close to 2 months now and it's gone through 1 treatment of Cupramine and 2 rounds of prazipro already during the first 3 weeks in QT. It's doing great and eating a lot. I perform 5-10 gallon water changes every 4-5 days. QT size is approx 30 gallons total volume. Suggestions?

It might take months but it will eventually go away only time to worry if it gets around the mouth area and hinders it from eating properly and imo cupramine has a tendency to bring lympo on kinda like a cold sore from stress

Waiting it out and hoping for the best is all you can do for Lymphocystis. I have seen cleaner shrimp eat off Lymphocystis, but obviously you can't do that in a QT that you're treating w/Copper.

Ive had a Zebra Swallowtail Angel that had Lymphocystis on its top fin...went away within a couple of weeks. Wouldnt worry bout it too much, just keep yur water changes up!

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'll keep up with the water changes and watch it closely. It's a 4.5" French Angel.

I had/have lymphocystis on my Bellus Angel. She first showed signs of it about 2 weeks after being introduced into my system. It went away about a month after. Then about 2 months later it showed up again, stayed for about a month and then just "fell off". Keep your parameters up and your fish well fed and it should be fine.

I have heard stories and experienced first hand lymphocystis disappearing after adding a fish to a tank containing a Long Tentacled Anemone.
Maybe the LTA releases some kind of antiviral compound?
At any rate, I also agree it will go away given excellent water quality and feeding.

I currently have a pair of Spotbreast angels...The little female has it on her in 4 or 5 spots.. The male has it on his caudal fin...driving me crazy. They are eating and the water parms are good. just have to wait I guess

It looks like it just fell off 2 days ago. There's an area on the fin where the growth was, and it looks like a small bump now, but it's not crusty or cotton-like. Almost resembles a scar. I think I'll wait a week or two, but I'm debating whether I should treat with prazipro for 3-5 days again just to be safe before I add them to the display tank.
