So I have My 10 gallon QT tank with 2 Lyretail anthias one Maldiv and one non both I believe are males and 3 Reef Blue Chromis they have been in there about a week came from a LFS that had them for a week which they ran copper in there systems.

So I am running no meds in the tank and tonight I notice that both the Anthias have one of there eye a little puffy and cloudy not to much but enough to notice a difference. Checked my levels Salinity was a little high in the 1.026 to 1.027 range on my red sea hydrometer.

Amonia 0-0.25 there was a very slight green tint (API) added prime and did a 2 gallon water change
Nitrate 10-15
PH 7.8

What should I do? No other visible ailments yet.

If you have two males they are probably fighting, so it might just be damage from that.

It could be the beginning of pop eye or some sort of ammonia burn as well, but all you can do with that is maintain water quality.

I've had a couple of Lyretails get pop-eye before.

What did you do to treat it? Somebody gave me a couple of does of furan-2 to use but not sure how safe that is to fish because the Chromis I have in there seem to be fine just the lyretail are have the eye issues.

I didn't have a hospital tank. I had to let it work itself out. The first one wouldn't eat and died. The second survived.
