I set up my nano cube 24 about 6 weeks ago and have 31#'s LR that has been cycling--I added 5 astreas, 5 ceriths, 5 nassarius, and 4 scarlet hermits--I plan on adding an emerald crab and scarlet skunk cleaner in the next week--my question--I have a bloom of what I think is macro algae--I need to submit pictures when I figure out how--it is bright green and a thick carpet covering the areas of LR that gets light--i know that's its not hair algae and is becoming rather invasive--i have google things to find a picture with no luck--any ideas and any ideas on what will eat it--my snails and hermits have tried it, but have been taking care of it like I would like--water parameters are trite, trate, ammonia are 0, ph is 8.2-8.3, temp is 78-80--thanks for your help!!

Normally you'd get diatoms which are brown/tan while cycling a tank. Without a pic it's pretty hard to make an ID.

Good Luck,

I know that it's not diatoms--it's green, i mean bright green and looks like it has little green tubes--it's also not caulerpa--i need to get a picture up!!
