macro description

I don't have a digital camera yet but I wanted describe a macro I have. I'm not sure what it is.

It grows like prolifera but the blades are only about an inch long and about a 1/4" wide. But instead of perfectly smooth edges, the edges are serated but the serations are not closely serated like a saw. They are spaced about a 1/4" apart.

(I also have some of the "miniature" feather caulerpa and this stuff is different.)

Anyone have an idea?

Hey Chris,

Try looking up Caulerpa serrulata. I'm not really sure what the species of the miniature feather caulerpa is.

i agree with kevin on the caulerpa serrulata (razor caulerpa). i have a bunch of it. i've got the miniature feather too... not sure what it is either.

Thanks,

I looked up the serrulata and I agree that's it. It must come in two different varieties though. One I looked at, branched into a y at the end of each blade. Mine is like another picture I saw, just the single straight blade about an inch long. But that one is definitely it. Thanks again.
