What is best marco for fuge--will shaving brush help or do they just look cool?

I like to use Chaeto, it wont go sexual like culerpa or poison your tank. Culerpa needs special attention and needs to be pruned.
Chaeto just needs light water flow, and Nutrients to live just like any other macro algae.

The shaving brush plant will help reduce nitrates and excess nutrients. It is a good choice also, to have more than just the shaving brush plant.

I use grape calerpa for the past year now with no problems.I stick a sea urchin in my sump every so often to mow down the calerpa.It beats trimming it.
