ok i have a old nikon d50 and would like to get better macro shots what kind lense should i be looking for? i want something cheap but good. also what other lenses will fit my camera?
thanks in advance

You may want to consider an old AIS mount macro lens, like a Tamron 90mm. AIS lenses will not meter on a D50, but for aquarium photography that's not a huge loss. I got one used from Craigslist for around $60. Otherwise, you're looking at between $400 and $900 for a new macro lens.

+1 on the AIS lense. They are really nice, and can be picked up relatively cheap. I found mine at a local pawn shop.
