I just recently got a nikon d 100 as a wedding gift and want to take macro shots of my tank. It came with 2 lenses, a Tokina 28-70mm, and a sigma 70-200mm. I havent been able to get any good close-up shots. I was wonderind what macro lens would work the best for acro close-ups? Thanks.

You have several choices. The Nikon105mm micro, Nikon 60mm micro, Sigma 105 and 150 macro, Tamron 90mm macro and the top dog (though nearly impossible to find)- the Nikon 105mm micro with vibration reduction. All of them will be very sharp and suit your needs well. The longer lenses will make it easier to get full frame shots of corals that are towards the back of your tank. The 60mm lens still does 1:1 magnification but the coral needs to be close to the front of the tank.

edit: I'm pretty sure Tokina makes a macro lens in the Nikon mount too but I'm on a horribly slow connection so I can't find the links for you right now :(
