On Wednesday 17, I discovered that my percula clowns had eggs in a rock again. This is not the first time. The first photo was on that day with my Nikon D60, Nikkor zoom lens 18-135mm with the camera flash, 1/80 sec., f5.6, handheld.

The first days is like a mass of orange eggs.

Yesterday Wednesday 24 the eggs were almost ready to swim! You can see the eyes and are blue. Here are the best of close to 140 photos. These are with an external flash, with tripod, Nikkor AI-S manual focus macro 105mm (no mettering in my D60), 1/160 sec., f/11.

This morning they were all gone :(

Enjoy :spin3:

Nikon D60 with a Nikon manual macro 105mm AI-S. This lens was used for film cameras. No mettering with the D60.

very nice. never seen eyes looking out of eggs. do you breed them?

No, they just lay eggs every two or three months in their home which is the base of a huge colt coral in my 125 gallon tank. This is the Colt. As you can see the other fish make a feast with the eggs.

I was shooting with the camera in a tripod and the flash in the right hand aiming direct to the fish. I was experimenting with the flash at different distances and looking at the results in the lcd display to see from where it resulted in a correct exposure.

Eggs were eaten by the other fish in he tank...

Christian the photos were posted in All Reefs the same day that they were posted here. The title of the post there is "Fotos macro de mis perculas y sus huevos!"
