That's not bad for a first attempt. Your camera, the Kodak EasyShare DX7590 is a decent camera, and should be okay.

Looks a little dark. Try adding +0.5 EV (i.e., if you had your camera set on -0.5 EV, then use 0 EV, if you had it set on 0 EV, then try +0.5 EV).

Also, make sure you use the lowest ISO offered (ISO 80). For this shot you used ISO 200, and that makes the picture a bit "grainy," leading to a loss of detail.

I adjusted levels, did a minor curve tweak, and sharpened a tiny bit. Hope you don't mind, if I post here to show you what I mean. If you object, let me know, and I'll remove the image:

Just don't use sharpening salty. Some people over sharpen their pictures. It just adds data that wasn't in the original image and makes the edges of objects look ragged.

I'm all for adjusting levels, but don't use sharpnening filters to account for bad focus. You may find your camera by default applies a sharpness post process all on its own anyway.
