Macroalgae No Spin $ Growing?

So is macroalgae worth growing if it does not spin? I have dragons breath and cheato growing but if it does not spin the algae gets a light color on the bottom side. I can't put a pump in this section as I have a deep sand bed in this section of the sump. Opinions wanted, chime in please.

None of my macro spins and I get excellent growth. I'd rather use the space required for tumbling to just grow more macro. It's all about light penetration though - if light isn't hitting the bottom layer of your macro, then yeah, you'll need to tumble it, or at least flip it manually every day or two.
