mag 36

hi guys,
any suggestions for me on a pump question.
i have a lil giant (3-mdqx-sc) in line for my 240.
i was thinking of a mag 36 that i used to stir up my water change as a submersible in my sump. do they raise the water temp? the mag seems awefully load in a 55g trash bin i use to mix water. would it be that loud in a sump?

The Mag uses 380 watts, the Little Giant uses a 100 watts, that's a big jump in energy consumption. You might be better off adding a couple of powerheads to the tank.

As far as heat goes an internal pump will add more heat than an external pump. If you're already having heat issues I wouldn't go with an internal pump if it's not necessary.
