has anyone had any issues with ball valveing down a mag drive. ( does it make it sound like a meat grinder????) Please if anyone has feed back let me know ASAP.
no direct experience, but I seem to recall that you are better off putting a "T" before the valve to bleed off the flow you don't want. Better for the pump and creates less restriction/backpressure. I just got a MAG drive and I think it is loud as it is.
No Infact they use less power if you cut back the output with a ballvalve. Now if you cut back the input then you will cause the pump to cavitate and that makes ton of racket.
I had the same issue with my Mag24. I increased the output pipe diameter and then tee'd it to the specific output diameters I wanted. It substantialy reduced the noise.
