mag flake =magnesium which is one of the key elements to measure and keep in check for corals.

Don’t know if anyone is aware of this but a 3 lb box of 100% natural mineral Epsom salt is only a $1.50 @ Walgreens or CVS etc. and that is pure magnesium! That’s what I use… don’t know if there is a difference between that and “mag flake” or not? not to shoot down a group order because im all for it if the price is right.

There is a big difference but, you need both to do the mix.

Epson salt is magnesium sulfate
Mag flakes is magnesium chloride hexahydrate

The bags are 50 lbs. of mag flake total ice control. I believe it is about 48% magnesium chloride. It is the same thing that we got before.
