Mag12 is not working properly please help

My Mag12 is pushing water but not a whole lot, maybe 5-10 GPH. I took it apart and everything look fine. The ceramic rod is intact and everything else look in place. The 3 black magnetic piece are they suppose to be fused together or they are moving independently ....please helpppppp

If any of them rotate freely without turning the impeller then you need a new one. They are only about 20 bucks from most places.

the impeller is turning but not at full speed. It pushing water but very weak stream.

Did you clean the area where the magnet of the impeller and body of the motor sit? This area can get really dirty with scum.

it a week old pump so I imagine everything is clean. But i use vinegar and still same old problem,.

If it's only a week old I would send it back, no reason for it to be acting like that, maybe one of the windings is bad

Really???? BOth the impeller that came with the pump and another impeller I bought two days ago are the same as in they both are not fused together with the rest of the magnets. At the break it very clean, don't look like they're broken. Shrug!

It might also be the windings themselves, best to exchange it and let them worry about it, if you can't return the spare impeller you could try glueing the magnets to the impeller and see what happens...

The pic isn't very clear, but the impeller needs to have a solid way to engage the magnet, they typically rotate about a 1/4 turn for a soft start but it should have a connection to the magnet. If it doesn't then the magnet spins but the impeller does not.

I glued the magnet and impeller together and still the same problem. It spin but at half the spee and sometime it doesnt spin at all. Cant return the pump

Did you recantly haver a power surge..? that happand to me once during a tropical storm and the power blinked several times.. My mag 12 didnt work right since then. I think the windings in the motor got fried. I had to get a new mag 12..

No power surge at all. I unplugged it for a min to do something in the sump but now its acting funny, Gonna email the manufacturer but dunno if they can send me a replacement since i dont have a receipt.

Well i tried dunking and sloshing it in/out of water. Short of taking a sledge hammer to it.
