well im trying to make a nice tank for my dad for a gift.
my goals here are for the tank to be an all in one unit.
i wanted to create my own since i dont like the look of the black plastic boxes that dominate the nano cube world. my plan was for a 16 gallon bowfront and add a piece of glass or plexie to seperate the tank from teh workings behind it. what all do i need to place behind it. the things my main tank has is a skimmer a heater and a pump. thats pretty much all it really needs if im thinking about this properly..
does anyone have some pix of tanks they have modifed themselfs.?
how much space is really needed back there?
what shouldnt i use ( bioballs ) what should i use? hang on back protein skimmer? the plan is for an open top and some sort of dual strip CF lighting.
