ok so i have a friend who is telling me that im metally retarting for wanting a manderian in my 40gal tank...what is you opinion on this..i have 35 pounds of live rock and a ton of copepods and tiggerpode in there
I have a mandarin in a breeder tank. Like you, I have a huge pod population and about 30lbs of live rock. My mandarin eats mysis too, so she is pretty chubby. You should be totally fine IMO.
I also have my own live food brewing which contains live mysis, copepods and some other stuff that i add to the tanks. my friend told be a manderian is required 75 lbs of live rock...for some reason i dont belive that
Look for a tank raised mandarin already eating frozen and or pellet food. I have a tank raised mandy and he eats any frozen I feed and occasionally pellet. I also have a ton o pods in my 56 gal FOWLR, about 40lbs sand and 35-40lbs of rock. Hes just as fat as the day I got him and I have had him for about 6 months now.
